December 16th Taking a Break: The Recession Diaries

Recession 103 Jeremiah was a bullfrog / He was a good friend of mine / I never understood a single word he said / But I helped him drink his wine / Yes, he always has some mighty fine wine / Joy to the world

I made a commitment when I started this blog that I would somehow work in Three Dog Night's lyrics into a post.  For the incisive political insight it provides?  Well, yes, but also because at this time of year, with the economy sliding ever deeper into recession, with the Right squatting in the kitchen sharpening their knives, we need fortification.  And a break.  I'll be shutting down for a couple of weeks but will be back shortly after the New Year, recharged and ready to take on the forces of reaction, mediocrity and gloom.

So thanks to everyone who drops into this blog and for the constructive and stimulating comments.

Hoping you find your own Jeremiah and have a good season's break.
